My good friend and are having a mini Biggest Loser contest. No diets, no pills, no crazy workout schedules. Just two girls trying to do things the right way. I cannot believe the amount of dedication I feel knowing there is someone else doing this right along with me. It's so loverly! I'm not trying to be a food scientist or break down every itty bitty calorie but I am trying to do my best! We don't really have a set prize yet for our BIG prize. Our weigh ins are Monday mornings and whoever lost the highest percentage of weight for that week is the winner. The loser has to provide a lunch for the winner and kids one day during the next week (we get together to play at least once a week if not more and it most often falls over lunch time) and then the winner gets to pick a "punishment" for the loser. It can be no sugar for a week, no tea, no chocolate, no watching Hulu (we both LOVE Hulu), no staying up past 10...whatever the winner decides!
So here is what I ate yesterday:
Breakfast: Kashi Cherry and Vanilla cereal bar-110 calories
Snack: Medium Banana 70 cals
Snack (we were in the car :P): 1 cup of all natural spinach/tomato straws 70 calories
Lunch: Spinach salad with 1 egg, 1/4 cup diced tomato, a few bites of grilled chicken grilled with no butter/oil and about 2 tbs balsamic dressing 200
Snack:Apple, another kashi cereal bar 150
Dinner: Smoothie (1 banana, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1 cup frozen broccoli/carrot shreds, water), 5 more veggie straws and a cup of echinechea tea with less then a teaspoon of raw, local honey=200 cal
1 half sweet half unsweet tea with lunch=100 calories (just a guess?)
=900 calories.
I know that isn't enough for one day but we were in a car driving home from visiting our friends in Tennessee so I had to adjust for the fact that I knew I'd get zero exercise!
Not bad for day one!
